Programme’s purpose:
The English Language Foundation Course is designed to prepare international students for successful entrance to Higher Education Institutions in Cyprus by enhancing their language proficiency. This course focuses on developing the students’ English language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, as well as building their academic language and communication skills required for successful study in a Higher Education Institution.

Students enrolled in this one-year program earn a Certificate in English Language Foundation Program. The English Language Foundation Program intends to help international students become proficient in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and to develop their academic language and communication skills in order to successfully gain admission to our higher education programs of study.

Successful completion of the English Language Foundation Program provides a versatile skill set that can be applied to various professions and academic pursuits. Upon successful completion of the program, students may enroll in any diploma, bachelor’s degree or master’s degree program offered by American College. For the master’s degree program students need to be holders of bachelor’s degree.
